A Glimpse into My Poetry

Letter

The tree will carve its gentle line of resistance,

In the sap that defies the stranger’s taste.

The air in the canopy is tangible,

On the edge of a bluish plate.

But you,

You do not know the game of burdens;

You do not knock on every door,

Hoping they are unlocked,

Not gnawed by moths.

Yet you must understand,

Even in the corner of your last effort,

To hide your helplessness—

Keys are easily made,

And need lures the weight.

So you do not stare

Into the void,

Into the inverted distance.

For remember, with a gaze into fullness,

The word is the bravest invention.

Wind gonna find me

I’ve been through the storm

Wind gonna find me

I promise

Nothing

Never

Sleepless nights

Like vanilla

                                                                          So easy

                                                                          I never cry

Wind is a strong medicine

Where is everyone

Moon and grass

Nothing else

Where is everyone

Wind

                                                                          So easy

                                                                          I never cry

Migrant

he is sitting on the bench

dirty little station in a small town

it doesn't matter which one

for him, every stop is just the same

alone

and the backpack is his home

there are dark colors on his face

each passerby, with ease, imparts a weight upon him

each letter, heavy as a stone

a  m i g r a n t

without European whiteness

without European papers

with a shattered mirror of another continent

carrying fragments of a distant land

with borders uncharted

and with fortified wire fences

invisible lines in front of his ayes

Woman's Letter

I'll be the beginning

I'll nest you in the jaws of infinity

I'll be born in primeval times

I'll shatter every mirror

So that no winds may stop me

So the traces will find me

So I won’t dry out

So I won’t be consumed

Because I want to

Because I know

With my steady self

I bleed moonlight

I cultivate suns

I disperse darkness

With ink
